2PM is a South Korean boy band, originally a seven-member group, but currently consisting of six membersdue to the sudden contract termination of leader Jaebeom following an Internet controversy in September 2009. They are managed by JYP Entertainment. The current members are Junsu, Junho, Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung and Chansung.

2PM is one of the two subgroups branched out from the eleven-member (before Jaebeom's departure) boy band One Day, the other being 2AM. 2PM's and 2AM's training days were filmed in a documentary called Hot Blood Men, which aired on Mnet. The show documented the time by time training program of the JYP trainees who were to be part of the group "One Day", as well as the elimination of three trainees from the group during the time.

They debuted with the song "10 Jeom Manjeome 10 Jeom" ( 10 Points Out of 10 Points), which showcased their acrobatic dance styles.

On September 4, 2009, articles surfaced on the internet regarding Jaebeom's posts from 2005 on his personal Myspace account, in which he expressed his dislike for Korea while still a trainee for JYP Entertainment. Jaebeom issued an apology regarding this matter. Although  protesters demanded that Jaebeom should be forced out of 2PM, JYP Entertainment  stated on September 7 that he was going to continue to remain part of the group. The following day, Jaebeom announced that he would be leaving the group and returning to the United States, with plans of going back to school and bettering his understanding of music, and also apologized to the other 2PM members for not being a good leader and older brother to the group.Park Jin-young CEO of JYP Entertainment has confirmed that he will respect the singer's decision, and that 2PM will continue on as a 6-member group.

On February 25, 2010, JYP Entertainment announced that  Jaebeom would not be returning to 2PM, as his contract with the company had been permanently terminated.

Girls' Generation  is a nine-member South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 2007. The nine members are: Taeyeon, Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun. They are often referred to as SoShi , or SNSD (mainly outside Korea), the first of which is an abbreviation and the second an acronym of the group's Korean name So Nyuh Shi Dae.

The members were professionally trained primarily in singing, dancing and languages, while a select few were also trained in acting and modeling. Many of the members had already made appearances in magazine ads, television commercials, and small television appearances. Girls' Generation were initially known as "Super Girls", a fan made name, before their debut.

During their early career, the group were endorsers for several brands such as Elite Uniform, Nexon Bubble Fighter, Samsung and LG. Since 2008 they have been exclusive models for the Goobne Chicken and have filmed several commercials for the brand, recorded jingles for advertising purposes, and modeled for promotional Goobne calendars as well. Goobne Chicken has since become a strong contender in the chicken industry and attribute their success to the group. By mid-2009 the group members were models for over 10 brands and were chosen as one of South Korea's most sought after advertisers in a survey conducted by brand consulting research institute. Several members are solo advertising models such as Seohyun who is a model for Clean and Clear, Taeyeon who models for A-Solution, a cosmetics brand, Sooyoung, Tiffany and Yuri as models for Biotherm or Yoona who models for S-Oil and Innisfree.Alongside Super Junior, they are also exclusive models to the partly SM Entertainment-owned retail brand SPAO.Endorsing clothing brands, online games, food industries, events, electronics, cosmetics and even products reserved for the top celebrities to endorse such as petroleum and credit cards, the group was considered one of the most sought after models in 2009.

The group continued to be active in advertising in 2010, endorsing brands and products including the Nintendo DSi and Domino's Pizza. In late 2010, a gift certificate company began releasing gift certificates each worth 10,000 won which featured Girls´ Generation images on the cards, making them the first celebrities to be featured as such. Popular Korean web portal Daum also began using the group as models while remodeling certain services and search engines in early October 2010, and released Girls' Generation desktop wallpapers and screensavers for promotion, which quickly became popular.

Girls´Generation are thought to be the group with most influence over the consumers because of the positive attention they get from the public for their vocals, looks and fashion sense.

PART II

SUPER JUNIOR-M

Super Junior-M, often referred to as SJ-M, is the third official sub-unit of Korean boy band Super Junior. They are the first international music group in the Chinese music industry to have members of both Chinese and Korean descent.Super Junior-M consists of five Super Junior members – Han Geng, Siwon, Donghae, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun. Henry Lau and Zhou Mi are the only two members in the group who are not part of Super Junior.
Super Junior-M debuted in China on April 8, 2008 at the 8th Annual Music Chart Awards and with the release of their first music video, "U" online.

Super Junior-M's goal is to bring the Korean pop influence over to the Chinese market, re-representing the hits in Mandarin.Similar to the style of their main group Super Junior, Super Junior-M's music style falls into the category of mainstream pop, dance, and R&B. Dance pop songs with rock and hip hop influences are easily heard in their music, such as in "Me" and "The Moment".

After the first announcement of Super Junior-M on October 2, 2007, and the possibility of adding a non-Super Junior member, Henry, to the main group, Super Junior fans immediately voiced out their dissatisfaction and opposition. Immediately, a website was built, called "Only 13", to oppose against SM Entertainment's actions.
Initially fans were planning to boycott the company's products, similar to the actions taken by fans of TVXQ in the past. However, most fans agreed on a silent protest instead. On October 21, 2007 and throughout the week, over 400 fans from Super Junior's official fanclub, E.L.F, silently sat in front of the SM building and held signs that supported the group to have only thirteen members.
After more rumors leaked of SM Entertainment sneaking in an extra non-Super Junior member,  the fans decided to gain this chance to have a legal representation as part of SM Entertainment's stockholders. As of March 20, 2008, Super Junior fans from all over the world purchased 58,206 stocks of SM Entertainment, holding 0.3% of the company's entire stock. They released a statement through the media, stating that they will obtain all chances to prevent SM Entertainment from adding new members and to keep Super Junior as only thirteen.

Personally,I think that that is the line between  a normal fan and a fanatic.Althought I think that the korean fans are overly obsessed with the idols.

SUPER JUNIOR -HAPPY

Super Junior-Happy  is the fourth official sub-unit of Korean boy band Super Junior. Super Junior-Happy contains six Super Junior members, Leeteuk , Yesung, Kang-in, Shindong, Sungmin, and Eunhyuk.Super Junior-Happy consists of every previous member from Super Junior-T except Heechul, who is replaced by Yesung.
Super Junior-Happy's music style involves the common style of contemporary dance music and bubblegum pop, mainly targeting the music industry with their fun and entertaining style.
Super Junior-Happy debuted on June 7, 2008, performing their first single, "Cooking? Cooking!" at the 2008 Dream Concert.

Part I

Super Junior , often referred to as SJ or SuJu , is a boy group from South Korea formed by SM Entertainment in 2005. With a total of 13 members, they are one of the largest boy bands in the world. The group consists of Leeteuk, Heechul, Han Geng, Yesung, Kangin, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, Kibum and Kyuhyun.  In 2010, only 10 members are active, due to Han Geng leaving SM Entertainment, Kangin's leave of absence for mandatory military service and Kibum's pursuit of an acting career.

As a whole, Super Junior has released four studio albums and one physical single, including occasional contributions to drama soundtracks.Super Junior are known for doing performances that are heavily centered around their choreography, and are acclaimed for their highly synchronized dances.

Since debut, SM Entertainment has created four subgroups for Super Junior. Every member was put into different subgroups excluding Kibum, due to his busy acting schedule. The intentions of the subgroups were part of SM's strategy to not limit Super Junior's activities, and the goal was to show that the group could accommodate different musical genres.

SUPER JUNIOR K.R.Y

Super Junior-K.R.Y, established in November 2006, is a trio formed by Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung which makes up K.R.Y.in the title of the group. Being amongst the most vocally powerful members of the group, Super Junior-K.R.Y are credited to singing mournful, R&B-style ballads. Unlike Super Junior's other subgroups, Super Junior-K.R.Y has not officially released a single or album, and only participated in collaboration albums and original soundtracks.

SUPER JUNIOR-T

Super Junior-T  is the second official subgroup of Korean boy band Super Junior. They are the first idol group known for capitalizing trot music, the oldest form of Korean pop music. Super Junior-T contains six Super Junior members, Leeteuk , Heechul, Kang-in, Shindong, Sungmin, and Eunhyuk.
The group released their debut single "Rokuko" on February 23, 2007 and on February 25, 2007, they officially debuted on SBS's Popular Songs.By the end of 2007, the single sold almost 46,000 copies and was Korea's best-selling single of the year.

Two months later, Leeteuk, Shindong, and Eunhyuk were injured in a car accident, and all of Super Junior-T's schedules were completely canceled for two months. On April 29, 2008, it was announced that Super Junior-T would make a comeback later in the year with their second single.
However, a fourth Super Junior sub-unit, Super Junior-Happy, debuted instead, putting Super Junior-T in partial hiatus.

Well, this is the end of part 1. To be continued ^^

MUSE

So,here it goes my third post.

Muse is an English rock band comprised of Matthew Bellamy (lead guitarist, vocalist, and pianist), Chris Wolstenholme (bassist, and backing vocalists), and Dominic Howard (drummer).

Dominic and Matthew started in a band called Carnage Mayhem. They met Chris and when that band fell apart they created a new one ,called Rocket Baby Dolls,a band with a very goth image.Later, they renamed it ad MUSE because acording to the members it was short and looked good on a poster.

On October 1995, Dennis Smith, the owner of Sawmills, a recording studio in England, discovered them playing in a Cornwall village.Smith would later offer them free recording time at his studio. With this offer, they were able to release a self-titled EP under Sawmills’ in-house label, Dangerous. They attracted many fans across England, as well as the attention of Steve Lamacq, an influential British music journalist, and the weekly British music publication NME. Smith subsequently co-founded the music production company Taste Media especially for Muse.

Despite their success, British record companies were reluctant to back Muse. According to them, they were concerned that their music sounded similar to Radiohead. Despite this, a few gigs were arranged for them in the United States, which sparked a strong interest from Madonna’s record label, Maverick. Maverick would later on sign Muse to a record deal on Christmas Eve, 1998.

Origin of Symmetry was released on June 18, 2001 to a bag of mixed reviews, yet this did not affect the success of Muse, as the first single of the album, Plug in Baby, reached the number 11 spot in the hit charts, the highest spot for any Muse single at that time. Their second single, New Born, would also reach the top 20. This contributed to the album’s respectable chart position at the number 3 spot.

Origin of Symmetry would have made a huge impact on the American music scene, but Maverick had reservations about the album’s falsetto vocals, which they considered to be not radio-friendly, and asked Muse to change some of their songs prior to the American release. Insulted, Muse left Maverick, preventing the release of the album in the United States.

The release of this album saw Muse winning multiple awards, such as Best British Act at the Kerrang Awards, as well as nominations for three Q Awards, which were Best Album, Best Live Act, and Best Producer. The release of this album was also followed by a massive world tour, with visits to Australia, Japan, Germany, Austria, France, and many more. Muse released two more singles before releasing another album, which were Bliss and a double-a side, Hyper Music/Feeling Good.

Muse took another break from touring to record their third album. After months of experimentation, recording, and mixing, Absolution, Muse’s third studio album, was released on September 29, 2003.After spending half a year recording and mixing, Muse released their fourth album, Black Holes and Revelations, on July 3, 2006.A fifth album, The Resistance, was released on the 14th of September 2009.

The Music

Hello~

It`s just about time I wrote something in the blog.Since I´ve got no idea what to write about I´ll do the easy thing. Write about music.

I should warn you that at the moment I kinda navigate between two types of music: rock and k-pop,depending on my mood. This means Muse,Tokio Hotel ,Queen and 30 Seconds to Mars or SHINee,TVXQ,Mblaq,SNSD,BI (Rain),T-ara,Brown Eyed Girl,Ze:a,U-kiss,F.T. Island,CN Blue...

It  pretty much satisfies all the  whims  that I may have while listening to music. I especially like the k-pop groups since all the songs are great, with cool ritms and fantastic lyrics an also as a bonus, all the members are super cute.Really,it´s so very difficult to choose a favorite from all of them when you have problems to choose one from every group. They are all so sweet and cute that all  you want is to hug them ; and so slim that I for one, have the need to feed them whenever I see them.

It´s hard to not like them and ,as my friends, I´m now a k-pop addict .In love with the korean idols and their music.
